Food Information

Thai cuisine is well-known worldwide, including blending elements of several Southeast Asian traditions, however, unique with its balance of fundamental taste senses, aroma, and spiciness. Thailand also is a source for an expansive variety of exotic and tasty fruits including coconut, toddy palm, tamarind, rambutan, lychees, papaya, jackfruit, mango, mangosteen, langsat, longan, pomelo, pineapple, rose apples, and durian.
Located on the Andaman Sea, Phuket is abundant in natural resources, especially fresh seafood. In addition, Phuket also has a variety of local food (Chinese style) such as Po Pia (spring roll), Oh Eaw (iced dessert), Hokkien Noodles, Satays (small kebab) and Lo-ba (fried pork entrails).
